First choose the section of the classifieds you wish to advertise in (i.e. Horse for Sale, Stallions, Trailers & Trucks, etc... ) click on the section. You have now entered your chosen ad section. To place your ad you now click on "Place Ads". You will be prompted to logon if you have not already done so. Once logged onto the system a page will open requesting information on what you wish to advertise. Complete as much or as little of the form as you wish, noting that required fields are marked with an asterisk (*) . You now click on "Preview my ad" at the bottom of the form. If you are satisfied with how your ad appears you would next choose your method of payment, scroll down to and click on "Post my Ad" and continue to the next page. At the top of this page you should see the message "Your ad has been successfully posted!" Now is the time to consider your photo options. The page you are on is the page you will upload your picture to the ad if you intend to have a photo in your ad. Please see "How do I upload a photo to my ad" All ads are subject to approval and payment prior to being activated.

We need you to register in order for our classified program to provide you with your own "UNIQUE" user name and password. This is the only way our system can confirm you are the person making changes or deleting your ad. The information is kept strictly confidential.

You do not need to register to view ads at Horse for Sale Classifieds.

There are several ways to get your photo into your ad. The easiest way is to have your photo sized to 300 pixels X 300 pixels and in a .gif or .jpg format prior to placing your ad. This way you can easily follow the directions on how to ad your media files when prompted to during the process of placing your ad. If you have ALREADY placed your ad and want to upload a picture, you must choose the "modify/renew ad" option from the left side bar to get your photo into your ad. You will be prompted to logon to the system if you have not already done so. Once on the modification page scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on submit modifications ... the second page of the modifications page is where you will find the section to upload your photo. Follow the directions listed.

Yes as long as it complies with the size restrictions for uploading photo's. Pictures must be in a .gif or .jpg format and no larger than 300 pixels by 300 pixels.

Basic Classified ads start at $7.95. Horse for Sale Classifieds offers a number of visibility and priority options you can add to help bring increased attention to your Classified ad listing. These extras do increase the cost of your ad therefore the cost of each item is clearly marked prior to your choosing any extras.

Horse for Sale Classifieds accepts PayPal, Personal Checks, Money Orders and if you prefer you can use our standard option and include your Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard only) when prompted by our classified ad program. Payment Options

Yes our "Horse Affair" section of the classifieds are free. This section includes posting for stolen or missing horses, Horse shows, Endurance rides, special events and others.

Yes you can renew your ad as long as it has not been deleted. Once an ad has been deleted you must place your ad again.

Currently we are not charging to update photo's.

Currently once you register a username and place an ad that username continues until the ad has expired or you delete it.

Yes, you have full access to your user information. Logon and click on my profile. A page appears that says "update your account profile". You can change your password, address, email address to name a few.

A response e-mail address appears in every ad -- simply click on it. A new message box will open for your reply. Type your message and send. Be sure to include the ad number your responding to.

Yes, open the horse ad your interested in scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the check box Add/Remove from checklist. Click on it to add that classified ad to your "My checklist" When you come back to the classifieds you can click on My checklist on the left navigation bar and bring up the ad you are watching. The ads will stay in your check list for 30 days.

Usually this problem occurs when an ad has been placed using "bank check" payment. The ad has been approved but we have not received payment therefore until payment is received you can come back and make changes to the ad or change your photo but the ad will not be visible online until it has been approved and paid. In most cases this payment method takes 7 to 10 days. If you chose to pay by credit card and the ad is not visible it may not have been approved. Please contact us with questions if your ad does not appear within 24 to 48 hours.

We ask that individuals delete the ad when a horse sells or we will be happy to delete the ad for you if asked. Otherwise we have no way of knowing the animal or other advertised item or items have been sold.
