As unthinkable as it may seem ... our horses do come up missing. In
most cases the animal merely escaped from the field, stable or
corral. Someone left a gate unlatched or a fence came down. Occasionally
the unthinkable happens and someone takes them. Horse For Sale
Classifieds understands what a difficult - heart crushing experience
that is. We would like to do our part to help. If you or someone
you know has a missing or known stolen horse -- Please post your
stolen horse information under "stolen horse" in our
Horse Affair section of the classifieds -- absolutely free of charge.
Please provide the following information:
- Color photo of the horse
- Name of the horse
- Breed of the horse
- Age of the horse
- Sex of the horse
- Color or color combination of the horse
- Note any identifying marks or brands the horse may have
- List where the horse was last seen
- Include who & how to contact you in case any one should spot
the horse

Speed in notifying local law enforcement agencies or 911 when a
horse can not be found will go along way in recovering the animal.
Along with producing & distributing flyers to animal auctions,
horse clubs, feed stores and animal control agencies. We would like
to suggest to all horse owners ... Make a folder on each of your
horses. In your folder include an up close front view, left side
and right side color photo of the horse (examples shown at the bottom
of this page). If your horse is lucky enough to have a distinguishing
mark, color or brand be sure to include a close up photo of that
mark or brand. Place a copy of the registration of your horse in
the folder, include their common name, the breed and color. Now place
your folder where you can get your hands on it in an emergency. If
your horse comes up missing you will have everything you need to
get the information out fast ...
